What is the difference between the progressive die and the stamping die in the mold?
The progressive die (also called a continuous die) is composed of several workplaces. The different workplaces are connected in order to complete different processing. A series of different stamping processes are completed in the stroke of the punch. After the completion of a stroke, the punch feeder will move the material forward according to a fixed step, so that many processes can be completed on a pair of moulds, such as punching, blanking, bending, cutting, drawing and so on.
1. Progressive die is a multi task die, which can include many processes such as blanking, bending and stretching in a mold. It has high productivity.
2. Can be produced by high speed punch press.
3., The punching machine can reduce the area of the punching machine and reduce the transportation and storage of semi-finished goods.
4. Parts with very high dimensional requirements are not suitable for progressive die production.
The compound die refers to a die structure in which punching machines complete blanking and punching in one stroke.
Compared with other cold stamping die structures, it has the following advantages: (1) the coaxiality of the work piece is better, the surface is flat, and the dimension precision is high; secondly, the production efficiency is high, and the precision is not limited by the shape size of the strip, and the waste corner material can be used for reproduction sometimes.
